Description
Focussing on the Armando format, this three week longform course will explore non-narrative, game based longform. Whether you're new to montage, or want to strengthen your core skills, this course has something for all levels of experience. Sessions will help you understand the format; identifying themes, playing with game, and making effective edits. We will look at how to maximise the potential of an idea, how to effectively support a scene and answer the question, "who is Armando, anyway?"
Please note that this is not a beginner's course and some previous improv experience will be assumed. New to improv? There's still time to join our Foundation course!
The course will run Thursday evenings for three weeks (24th April, 1st May and 8th May) 7-9.30pm in the rehearsal rooms, New Adelphi Building, University of Salford. The course is capped at just 12 spaces so book early! This course will culminate with a showcase night at the Manchester Improv Wednesdays on Wednesday 4th March. Price includes non-refundable £15 deposit.
The course will be led by Bron Edge and Sean Mason.
