Perfect for anyone looking to write and perform stand-up comedy and build confidence in public speaking!
Note: This course is suitable for ages 17+
Always wanted to try your hand at Stand-Up Comedy but don't know where to begin? Our next full course will commence Saturday 18th January 2025.
No previous experience necessary! This exciting comedy course will look at ways of crafting great gags, exploring joke structure, and developing storytelling techniques to hone your comedic voice. There will be weekly writing exercises, as well as regular, friendly feedback on your material and performance. This course is ideal for anyone looking for laughs and wanting to try their hand at something new.
The course will be run by writer and comedian Sean Mason with masterclass sessions with pro acts (names TBC).
'This is the first comedy course I have been on, I really didn't know what to expect. I'm writing had dried up over lockdown and I didn't feel I had much motivation. I had a brilliant tutor who ran the course with ease, for the first time in a while I felt motivated and made use of the individual tutorial time to help with my weekly tasks. I feel I have gotten alot out of this course, more knowledge around my persona as a performer, also how to structure jokes. If there are any more courses available, I wouldn't hesitate in joining one. Completely recommend.' Laura Bason - Creative Freelancer

There are plenty of nearby paid parking options nearby and the building is just a short walk from Salford Crescent Station and several major bus routes.
The course will conclude with a showcase night for your material - venue/date TBC. This event is free to attend so be sure to invite family and friends to support you and all the other acts!
