Improvised Musical Theatre

Take the fear out of Improvised singing with this fun and friendly one day workshop! You don't need a great singing voice - or even a good one - to enjoy this one day session full of fundamental tips to make your improvised songs shine!
This workshop is for people with experience in improv looking to explore creating music as well. Experienced musical improvisers are welcome and will be pushed! This workshop will focus on the creation of small group and solo songs, looking at the structure of a song and methods for creating continuity and meaning within your pieces. Moving forward we will focus on methods of creating coherent music within groups. We will look at methods of passing, conducting and creating games in improvised chorus numbers, attempting to create rich, story-driven musical elements for your scenes.
