Another year in Edinburgh done and dusted, and this year at the Three Sisters on Cowgate. We had an absolutely awesome time, with great audiences and even some new games! Nick Semar from Comedysportz Chicago joined us for a few shows, and if you’re in London at the end of the month be sure to catch him in Baby Wants Candy – The Improvised Musical.
Your support, suggestions and laughter are what make Edinburgh so special for us and it is a genuine pleasure to meet so many people from all over the world from America to Belgium to the exotic climes of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
A huge thank you to Alex Petty and Laughing Horse who put so much work into running the Free Festival in Edinburgh, we love being part of this group 🙂
Thanks also to all the staff at The Three Sisters, especially Anais and our tech Christian for all their help, support and hugs.
Notes:ComedySportz UK is the North West’s top improvised comedy troupe. ComedySportz is a fast-paced improv comedy show where two teams battle it out for the biggest laughs. The players create quick witted sketches, scenes and songs from whatever suggestions are thrown at them by the audience to create a show that’s fast, feelgood and always unpredictably funny . There’s a referee on hand to steer the entertainment, call any fouls, and help the audience decide the winner.
We say a sombre farewell to Mark Rawle as he leaves for his new life in London (but then again so did Ash Dunne and Steph Threlfall and we managed to coax them back 😉 ). We hope to see him from time to time but not having him close makes us sad in our hearts. Here’s a shot from our last show with Mark in Liverpool, which felt rather apt as this is the city that Mark ran his own Improv Troupe in (Sticky Floor). Much love and luck to you Mark, keep in touch xx
We are very excited to announce that ComedySportz today and tomorrow will be joined by Nick Semar who is in Edinburgh performing with Baby Wants Candy. Nick is also part of the ComedySportz Chicago Ensemble and is good friends CSzUK. Can’t wait!
UPDATE: We had a blast playing with Nick and are hoping he will guest with us again this week
