CSzUK have just completed an excellent project with New Mills School in Derbyshire.
In 9 weeks a number of students worked on how to devise and write comedy sketches. We looked at Improvisation and Writing Techniques which culminated in a number of completed sketches written by the students.
Their English teacher, Mr Hill, had this to say: "You have been amazing with them and I feel that they have all benefited in some way, shape or form from the work you have done. They have said many positive things about the sessions which is great."
It's been a very rewarding project headed up by Kate Mccabe, Sean Mason and Brainne Edge, with assistance from Rob Hudson, Chris Tavner and John Cooper. It was extremely exciting to see students who rarely put pen to paper really take on this challenge.
We are told the students now plan to perform some of the sketches they wrote at some point. The best of luck to them, there is some very funny stuff in there (and a LOT of puns! 😉 )
