As 2025 draws to a close we're looking ahead to 2026. It's going to be a big year for us as the Totally Improvised Company turns 25 years old! We'll be celebrating in grand style with plenty of shows and workshops throughout the year so keep an eye out for announcements in the New Year. But before then let's take a look at what's on in January and beyond...
It's a quiet start of the year for us but as we've just had the biggest bumper Panto season yet we think we deserve the rest! Join us at Manchester Improv Wednesdays on 7th January for ComedySportz vs. Absolute Onions. It's a clash of the house teams... who wins? YOU decide! And at the end of the month we're back at Chorley Theatre with The Totally Improvised Musical on 31st January. Then ComedySportz returns to Waterside Arts in February before we return to Leicester Comedy Festival... more on that below!
Spaces on our courses are filling up fast! So join Manchester's longest running comedy courses today. They're fun and friendly with something for all levels of experience. Unlock your creativity with Foundation Improv or develop your comedy writing and performance skills with our Beginning Stand-Up Comedy course. We'll be announcing the schedule of Intermediate Improv classes in the New Year and we'll also be running more short courses and one-offs in the spring too. We'll be announcing more details about those in January.
We'll be back at Leicester Comedy Festival in February with ComedySportz, The Totally Improvised Musical and Sean will be performing his solo show Going Coastal with Donald McGinty. We've picked up award nominations at the festival two years running and can't wait to be back at Europe's biggest comedy festival. Plans are already afoot for Buxton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and who knows where else we'll go this year. We're also delighted to be hosting the second Greater Manchester Improv Festival in June. Team applications will open in January - keep an eye out for more info in the new year!
