It’s nearly time for the ComedySportz Halloween Spooktacular at Waterside Arts! Players will be adding a little pumpkin spice to our usual family friendly show as teams get you screaming with laughter with spooky sketches and songs inspired by your suggestions.
Once again, the Dead Team take on the Boo Team with ghoulish games and frightfully fun gags. Don't worry there's still a referee on hand to ensure a good clean match and make sure the teams are raising laughter from the audience instead of raising the dead. We're back at Waterside Arts on Saturday 22nd October 2022 for some frightfully funny family friendly comedy shenanigans as the Boo Team take on the Dead Team with ghoulish gags and games galore!

Got kids aged 6 and under? Check out ComedySportz 4 Tots at 3pm on the same day (Book Online or via Box Office). ComedySportz 4 Tots is a non-competitive version of our main show with plenty of silly songs and games guaranteed to get you giggling!

We understand that not everyone can join us for our live improv shows - especially our international fans who have found us through our virtual shows - and we’ll be continuing our online ComedySportz matches on the first Saturday of every month. Subscribe to our youtube channel now to never miss a match. You can watch our September show at the link above. The stream will go live at 6.45pm BST with the fun kicking off at 7pm BST on Saturday 2nd October. Online shows are family friendly and free to watch.
Halloween Spooktacular
Our monthly Waterside Arts shows may be a bit early for Halloween but join us on Saturday October 23rd for some ghoulish gags and games because, well, we just love a theme! We're adding a little pumpkin spice to our shows this month as our teams get the audience screaming with laughter, with spooky sketches and songs inspired by their suggestions. Don’t worry, there’s a referee on hand to issue penalties for bad jokes and bad behaviour - like trying to eat your brains!
We have two shows that day with ComedySportz 4 Tots at 3pm and ComedySportz at 6.30pm. Anyone in fancy dress gets a free treat!
Improv Comedy at The Barking Dog
Improv Mullet returns! We're delighted to be bringing this adults only mixed format improv show to the Barking Dog, Urmston on Thursday 21st October! Why Improv Mullet? Because it's shortform gags and games in the first half and longform scenes and sketches in the second.
There are two tickets types available - £5 entry or £13 for dinner and a show! We can attest that the food is absolutely fantastic.
Please arrive by 7.30pm to order your dinner upon arrival, showing the bar staff your ticket email. The show will start at 8pm. Dinner options are:
Chicken Curry Pie Steak & Ale Pie
Chicken & Wild Mushroom Pie
Cheese & Onion Pie (v)
Spiced Moroccan & Lentil Bake (v, vg, gf)
Each pie served with a choice of 2 sides and a gravy jug!
And finally we have our Totally Improvised Musical show. Every night is opening night as we compose a brand new musical every show! We're ready to tread the boards, tinkle the ivories and tickle your funny bones with this brand new show.

Want to get up on stage some day yourself? Well, if you have to panic buy anything this week make it a space on one of our fun and friendly comedy courses - there are limit spaces remaining on each! We have limited spaces remaining on our Foundation Improv and Beginning Stand-Up courses.

It'll be great fun for the whole family this Halloween with treats for any audience members in fancy dress. Who wins? You decide!
For families with younger kids there is also ComedySportz 4 Tots at 3pm with plenty of big laughs for little kids.
Our Halloween special is always lots of fun and just the start of a fantastic autumn/winter line up of shows.
