We're delighted to be back with Comedy Club 4 Kids at The Lowry, Salford on Sunday 2nd February! Its a fantastic line up of acts you and your family won't want to miss. Comedy Club 4 Kids programme engaging, entertaining shows that don't speak down to children or parents. Just a few days into 2020 and we already have plenty lined up for the coming months! We've got a full slate of workshops and shows that you won't want to miss.
We're back at Waterside Arts in Sale on Saturday 18th January with two great shows. There will be plenty of laughter for all ages. ComedySportz 4 Tots (3pm, £5/£3) is our show for kids aged 6 and under. There will be plenty of games, gigles, silly songs and stories, with plenty of opportunities for kids to get involved in this highly interactive show. Then we have our New Year, New Games ComedySportz Special (6.30pm, £8/£6) with plenty of never before seen games - who knows, we might even make something up on the night... If you're looking to try your hand at comedy then we have a fantastic programme of workshops coming up. We still have space on our 8 week Foundation in Improv and Beginning Stand-Up Comedy courses. If you're looking to start the year by embracing uncertainty, finding your voice and rediscovering your playful side might we recommend a comedy course with us? We also have our returning Advanced Improv Drop-Ins (more classes to be announced soon) and our one day Presentation Skills workshop. If you have a public speaking engagement this year, whether its a business presentation or wedding speech, you won't want to miss this workshop.
For 2020 we've taken the decision to rest Improv Mullet at The Kings Arms. We're hoping to tour ComedySportz and gig more outside of Manchester as the year goes on.
We do however have a brand new show coming to the Peer Hat in March! From suggestion to sensation our players will compose a brand new musical from your suggestions - hitting all the right notes in any order they like! If you like musicals, this is the show for you. Our Improvised Panto returns this December for more festive fun the whole family can enjoy! There will be heroes, villains, romance and songs aplenty all inspired by your suggestions. There will be plenty of opportunities to join in the fun - oh yes there will - in this highly interactive show full of gags and games... and every villain is going to need a henchman!
Our improvised pantomimes are a loving pastiche of traditional panto tropes and characters and alternative to the same old stories. Players don't know which character they're going to be play or what the story is going to be about as our fairy god-referees take suggestions from the audience. We will have live musical accompaniment for this year's shows as well which is something we've wanted for a while!
We'll be bringing our improvised panto to The Palace in Longridge for the first time this December. It'll be a night of laughter and mirth as players craft a pantomime adventure with only your suggestions and a sprinkling of fairy dust to guide them. We can't wait to bring the show to the Palace (eat your heart out Cinderella) next month.
This is our third year of doing the pantomimes and they've been a sell-out success at Waterside Arts in previous years. We're delighted to be back this year with four more shows so be sure to book your tickets now!
3pm 14th December(This will replace our regular ComedySportz 4 Tots show but still be aimed at an age 6 and under audience so book appropriately!)
Finally, we'll also be performing an Adults Only version of the Improvised Pantomime on Saturday 7th December at The Kings Arms, Salford. This will replace our regular Improv Mullet Show. The show will start at 7.30pm!
These are currently our last booked in shows for 2019 so you won't want to miss them! We'll then return in January with new workshops and our New Year, New Games special at Waterside Arts!
