Our regular workshop leaders:

Brainne Edge (Manager) Brainne has trained under improvisers such as Neil Mullarkey (Comedy Store Players, London), Mick Napier (Annoyance Theater, Chicago) Larry Arrick (UCLA), Andre Washington (Second City, Chicago), Keith Johnstone, and Dick Chudnow (ComedySportz Founder). She has currently performed improvisation in twelve different states in the USA, as well as all over the UK and Ireland.

Brainne comes highly recommended by Salford University where she is a Lecturer in Performance, SPLATS Entertainment (with whom she runs play workshops in Primary Schools up and down the country) and the South Lancashire Arts Partnership with whom she runs regular workshops and projects.

She has a First Class Honours Degree in Media and Performance from Salford University and a Masters Of Art in Film and Video from The Surrey Institute of Art and Design. Brainne founded the UK division of ComedySportz in 2001.

Steven Catterall Steven joined ComedySportz UK in 2002. He was part of the winning teams that beat Milwaukee, at the ComedySportz World Championship, in 2004 and New Orleans in 2005. Steven studied drama at both GCSE and A Level, and was in the Nationally nominated 'Best Play' 2003 Chorley Little Theatre adaptation of Willy Russell's 'Stags and Hens', directed by Brainne Edge. Steven has also featured in a number of local films, the most recent along side comedian and songwriter Mike Harding. Steven is also a regular face in the local Murder Mystery scene where his improvisation training (Mick Napier, Dick Chudnow, Andre Washington) comes into play.
Chris Brooker has been a comic since 2001, he joined ComedySportz in 2005, the first of the new wave of 'actletes'. Chris has trained under Dick Chudnow (ComedySportz Founder), Joe Bill (Annoyance Theater) and Brainne Edge. Chris curently teaches Stand Up at the Comedy Store, as well as Improv. He heads up the company's Corporate Team boasting sucessful workshops for Michelin, RBS and most recently KLM.
Ben Schofield Ben joined ComedySportz in early 2006 after taking part in the Manchester ComedySportz workshops. A professional stand-up comedian, he took to improvisation instantly. His background includes stage, film and television work as well as being a former pupil at Stage 84, the acclaimed school for performing arts based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. In addition to his role as a player, Ben also heads up the CSzUK's Stand Up Course which began in 2007 at the Comedy Store in Manchester - as well as teaching stand up with us, he is a regular lecturer at Salford University.
